With Parkgate sitting within 2 counties, there exists a lay line which from extensive research runs as far back as the Great Orme, Stone Henge and other known factors across the planet. Some believe in the concept of ancient aliens where these lay lines can only be seen from the sky and pre-date mankind’s ability to fly.

With these lay lines certain cultures believe in mystical powers which emanate from them which in turn powers supernatural events, paranormal activity all aligned with the summer and winter solstice. This aligned late September with the equinox being first with a suspected transition of both positive and negative energy travelling within the lay lines to its summit in late December. Certain cultures celebrate these events in both positive and negative manners, some of these negative practitioners dabble in the dark arts……

Over the years of operating certain sports within the small copse within the backwood half of the estate, large amounts of paranormal activity has been reported ranging from a fleeting glance of the “Grey Lady” to unexplained noises with in the small copse……the only linking factor is the lay line that dissects the small wooded area used by S.W.A.T. for military based sports.

Some of the team have speculated over the years whether the energy created and released by S.W.A.T.s activities has stirred up these negative and positive energies for better or worse…….

More recently in 2020 with the global pandemic we have noticed an increase in paranormal activity at this site, we have speculated that this could be due to the starving of the negative elements within the lay line as they had no human emotions to feed off, since because of the restrictions placed due to COVID-19. With S.W.A.T. now being fully operational again more sightings and noises have been reported in the dark hours of the night with the equinox currently in play.
